Your screenplay will be read and assessed by creative producer Jack Tarling.
Jack began his career as a writer and director, receiving two short film commissions from Northern Film + Media. He won awards for two further projects before producing became his main focus. Jack has produced several short films with private investment, and twelve publicly funded short films.
Organisations such as Northern Film + Media, Film London and Southern Exposure have commissioned Jack’s projects and he is involved with the development of everything he produces. Jack worked in partnership with Northern Film + Media to run the Micro Movies scheme. He was part of a team responsible for short listing applications, interviewing the writers and commissioning ten short films.
Jack has provided feedback on hundreds of feature screenplays, shorts and treatments. He is part of the development team on Shudder Films three upcoming feature projects: 'Further Instructions', 'Dissident Wire' and 'Intercom'. So far Jack has successfully raised development funding for each project and some now have production finance in place too.
Jack gave a seminar at the North East Screenwriters Network on how to write for micro budgets. He has attended the Berlinale Talent Campus, Robert McKee’s legendary story seminar and a two day course led by LA script consultant Wendell Thomas.
